7:15 PM: Easy Money vs. Contract Killers
The undefeated Easy Money begin their quest to defend their title with a favorable matchup against the Contract Killers, who won last week in the quarterfinals to give themselves this opportunity. It would be a massive, massive upset and Easy Money has thwarted every semblance of competition so far this winter season.
Matchup to Watch: B.J. Valentine vs. Joey Gladney
Valentine struggled in the regular season finale and to make matters worse, Brandon Barkley rolled an ankle. The team runs off it’s four stud players (Valentine, Barkley, Kevin “Chip” Green and Kevin Emasiani) and losing one knocks out a large portion of their firepower. Gladney is an elite Ultimate Hoops player but hasn’t had consistent help this season. Jeremy Jones will need to match up with Valentine on both ends of the floor and the Killers’ three-point game will need to be on fire.
Prediction: Easy Money

8:15 PM: Giv3 N’ Go vs. Black Beatles
Winners in two of three, the Black Beatles have earned the same right as the Contract Killers, big upset potential. Giv3 N’ Go may not be undefeated like Easy Money, but the high-powered team has been Plano’s best offense. Paired with a stout defense, a bunch of athletes and shooters and perhaps the best inside presence of any team, they’re going to be a tough out.
Matchup to Watch: Adam Bush vs. Kobie Douglas
Said inside presence is anchored by Adam Bush, Jordan Eppink and Brett Bailey. G&G are the deepest team in the league and it will be a tall task for the Beatles. Kobie Douglas has become a great scorer from the guard position but will need contributions of Antonio Blackmon and Kendall Britton. Byron Weaver and Reggie Britton will have the trouble of managing the paint against the bigs Bush, Eppink and Bailey. Facing (probably) the deepest team in the league won’t help out the Beatles, who roll with their five starters.
Prediction: Giv3 N’ Go
