7:00 PM: Too Much Sauce (4-1) vs. MMG (2-3)
Too Much Sauce come in red hot (get it, sauce?) and MMG have dropped a pair of consecutive games after winning two in a row.
Matchup to Watch: Jeramiah Hopkins vs. Maxx Nakwaasah
Nakwaasah will need to be his usual great self this week. If Too Much Sauce continue to play at the high level they’ve been at for a month, they’ll need even more from him. MMG have a good team, but they’re not very deep. TMS have proven to be both high-powered and deep so far.
8:00 PM: Golden Gophers (0-5) vs. Contract Killers (1-4)
A week six matchup with one combined win isn’t a very good sign for the teams involved. The Killers have been an epic disappointment this year while the Gophers entered without much expectation.
Matchup to Watch: Antonio Harris vs. Alec Harris
Two players extremely adept at getting to the basket who struggle from the perimeter. Also, their last name’s are the same.
8:00 PM: Tropics (2-3) vs. The Soldiers (5-0)
The Soldiers continue to win and only win as the league gets another crack at one of the two undefeated’s this week. The task falls to the Tropics (and Giv3 N’ Go) this time around.
Matchup to Watch: Brett Williams vs. Paul Starr
Point guards who can flat-out shoot it.
9:00 PM: Easy Money (5-0) vs. Giv3 N’ Go (4-1)
As alluded to, G&G will get the other shot to break down one of UH Plano’s two teams without a loss. Easy Money have shown no sign of letup so far this winter but this will easily be their toughest test yet.
Matchup to Watch: Kevin Green vs. Martin Salinas
These guys fill it up to the point of dominance, but whichever one can do more than knock down the three-pointer could dictate the result of this highly anticipated matchup.
9:00 PM: Black Beatles (0-5) vs. Torch (2-3)
Certainly a game that ends up on court two because the Beatles haven’t won and their 9:00 competition is a doozy.
Matchup to Watch: Kendall Britton vs. Robert Garcia
Britton could use a good game as several of his teammates took strides in the right direction last week. Garcia has had a great season and has been instrumental in the Torch’s two wins this year. This week presents their best opportunity to get to .500 and build from there.
